History

Thyrocare was founded by Dr. A. Velumani in the year 1996. He is a doctorate in science and worked for 12 years in BARC. He used his experience at BARC to develop a low-cost Thyroid testing method.

During its initial years, Thyrocare was primarily focused on Thyroid testing. Later, it expanded its test menu to include NCD (Non-communicable disease) testing, mainly biochemistry.

Then, it expanded its preventive healthcare using “Aarogyam” brand name.
